SCIENCE-LED HEALTHCARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF EVERY PATIENT:
At GSK, our mission is to help people do more, feel better, live longer. Because we care about each individual patient. We consider it a success when every patient can live in optimal health.
We research and develop a broad range of innovative products in three primary areas:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Vaccines
- Consumer Healthcare
We offer innovative medicines and vaccines. We drive crucial initiatives for improving and refining healthcare, and we continually strive for innovative collaboration with carefully-selected partners.
PROTECTING PEOPLE WORLDWIDE:
GSK Vaccines is one of the largest vaccines entities in the world: we produce and distribute over 2.5 million vaccines every day to people across 170 countries. (More info: GSK Vaccines website)
We’ve been helping protect people from serious disease since the 1950s, when we introduced our first polio vaccine. Since then, our vaccines have helped protect people from many other illnesses, including pneumococcal disease, meningitis, hepatitis, rotavirus, whooping cough and influenza.
Our pipeline of potential new vaccines covers many of the diseases that still have a serious impact around the world, including malaria, HIV, TB and Ebola.
PURPOSES OF THE GSK VACCINES GRANT PROGRAM:
GSK Vaccines support healthcare and scientific organizations that:
- foster increased understanding of scientific, clinical, healthcare, and community issues
- have a general interest in progressing the prevention, treatment, and management of disease
- contribute to improving patient care, quality of life or education.
Our support includes financial support, donations or in-kind support related to healthcare, scientific research or education.
A PROGRAM ALIGNED WITH OUR MISSION AND VALUES:
The GSK Vaccines Grant submission process ensures that awarded grants, donations and sponsorships comply with applicable laws and are aligned with our mission, ethical standards and values.
An established Grant Committee (GDSC: the Grants, Donations & Sponsorships Committee) provides oversight, review and approval of all the requests submitted to GSK Vaccines. The Grant Committee ensures appropriate governance and that the supported activity is free from GSK’s promotional influence and from any conflict of interests.
A well-established process, clear eligibility criteria ensure that the decision to support an activity is based on a robust governance for all (sub)-categories of grant requests.
You’ll be guided throughout the process by automated emails advising you what to do next.
A GSK Contact person will be assigned to your dossier, to assist you personally if needed.
